Special Care Focus: Fresh Start

Welcome to the Special Care Focus: Fresh Start.

Let’s start by connecting in the heart with everyone participating in the Care Focus and radiating love and appreciation to each other.

The Planetary Shift

Many people talk about a "planetary shift" but don’t necessarily define it. Internet searches say the term "planetary shift" is used in different ways – depending on whether someone means it scientifically, spiritually, or metaphorically. In science, a planetary shift can describe major global changes happening in Earth’s systems. In spiritual terms, a planetary shift usually refers to a global rise in consciousness – a movement from fear and separation toward love, cooperation, and higher awareness. People often describe this as moving into a new era of unity, compassion, and coherence – aligning with what HeartMath calls heart coherence or collective heart intelligence. The internet says, in simple terms, the "planetary shift" is the idea that our world – physically, environmentally, and spiritually – is undergoing a major transition – personal, social, and global.

The Inner Shift

Many people say they are experiencing the planetary shift as time and events speed up. This acceleration of world events often triggers fear about our personal and the world’s future. Emotions can peak and ebb to extremes in the span of hours, even minutes, creating agitation or anxiety. Amidst this stress, however, another shift is occurring as more people realize that we’re all in this together, that we need to learn how to get along with each other, to take care of each other and our planet. A momentum of heart awakening is occurring that is energetically tangible. It’s an Inner Shift towards caring for the wholeness. It involves connecting with our heart and bringing love down to the street by practicing love in the form of care, kindness, patience, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and more. Science has found that increasing our love and care activates higher brain functions! Intentionally putting out love increases intuitive perceptions of what’s best for ourselves and the wholeness. This results in more harmonious interactions with others.

The planetary shift acceleration also enables us to make quicker inner shifts out of stress. Making an inner shift often requires using techniques or tools to balance our emotions and release old programs and attitudes that block our heart connection. We can use simple techniques, such as "Attitude Breathing" to engage the power of our heart and breath to create attitude replacements that increase coherence between our heart, mind and emotions. For example, when we’re feeling stressed, we can pause, shift our attention to the heart and breathe in the replacement attitude of ease for a few minutes. Breathe in ease and breathe out the stress. We can shift many lower vibrational attitudes with Attitude Breathing. We can breathe attitudes of calm, peace, kindness or compassion to help reduce feelings of anxiety, impatience, frustration, anger, etc. As we practice Attitude Breathing, it often brings us new perceptions and a deeper connection with our higher intelligence.

Fresh Start

New year’s energies provide momentums we can use to support positive commitments. Yet, this year seems to be calling for much deeper practices of Love, kindness and compassion to help resolve separation and restore the rapidly shrinking baseline of our collective dignity. We need to ask ourselves how much stress it will take to realize that nothing is going to get better if we don’t open our hearts and learn to get along with each other. A straighter-line path through all the changes you may be experiencing is to precede interactions with heart qualities of care, kindness and compassion for the pressures that people are under. This can cause them to say and do things they would not otherwise. We call this having "compassionate latitude." Most of us love it when it comes our way.

One of the practices that people say they are benefitting most from is doing a news fast for a week (or more) out of a month. It can be hard for a couple of days, but after that, most people start to feel tangible benefits. Doing it helps to restore balance between our mental and emotional nature by reducing nervous system dysregulation that can be triggered by fear and anxiety. News fasting gives our body a chance for some relief and restoration.

Learning to pause and create moments of ease and peace also really matters. It’s effective to schedule times to practice "inner stillness" and allow our heart, mind, and emotions to have a relaxed time-out to gain clarity on the choices we have to make. We need to quiet our mental and emotional static so that we can hear the counsel and wisdom of our heart’s intuitive guidance. Doing this with increased continuity will increase our ease and flow through these testy times. Connecting with our heart’s intuition (inner guidance) can advance our capacity to take charge of our life’s decisions and direction.

Using tools is more important than ever through these transitional times, be it HeartMath tools or techniques from other systems. More systems than ever are providing tools that take people back to the heart. Collective humanity is magnetizing this because of the critical role that love, care and kindness play in the creation of a world filled with peace and fun to live in.

Care Focus: Fresh Start

  1. Access stillness in your heart and breathe love or gratitude for someone or something in your life. This helps to warm your heart.
  2. While breathing the feeling of ease, calmly imagine your breath slowing down the vibration of your mental and emotional energy.
  3. While maintaining your state of calmness, ask your heart for guidance on attitudes you want to replace, commitments you want to make, or areas where you’d like a fresh start. Being genuine is the active ingredient, as this opens the heart.
  4. Now radiate unconditional love and ease into your mental and emotional nature to anchor your intentions and commitments.

    Breathing the attitude of ease and calm throughout the day also helps to anchor our heart’s commitments into our interactions. The more we practice ease, calm and stillness, the more strength we accumulate to sustain our heart commitments.

  5. Most importantly, with feeling, visualize the world that you want to live in and the joy that would bring to all life on the planet. Know that love and care for each other can eventually bring about these changes.
  6. Now, let’s close by sending our deepest compassion to all who are suffering from war, displacement, famine, natural disasters, and other global stressors. See the radiation of our collective heart energy helping to lift the vibration of the planetary field and the hearts of those suffering hardships.
