Special Care Focus: Empowering Our Love

Welcome to the Special Care Focus: Empowering Our Love. Every Wednesday in July, August, and September 2025, we invite you to participate in this special care focus. Join us at any time that suits you, or synchronize your participation with others around the world at these three convenient times: 4 a.m., 12:00 p.m. (noon), and 8 p.m. Pacific Time (GMT/UTC minus 7 hours). Let’s start by connecting in the heart with everyone participating in the Care Focus and radiating love and appreciation to each other.

One of the most effective approaches for navigating through these chaotic times is to engage the core qualities of love in our day-to-day interactions. It’s important to prove to ourselves love’s effectiveness. As we put out love, we accumulate more love within our system – and this is one of the best approaches for both our personal awakening and our upliftment. Practicing the qualities of love with each other has been proven in research studies to create positive effects in our mental, emotional, and physical natures – and in our relationships. One of the greatest needs of these times is that people and nations learn to get along with each other more. Our hearts can achieve this. Many are sensing that the stress feedback loop we are presently experiencing is because of the lack of harmonious interactions. Think of the co-creative solutions for planetary challenges that we’re missing because of this.

We want to share a few heart practices from previous Care Focuses that people tell us are benefitting them most through these uncertain times. It’s important to revisit and recommit to practices that bring us more objective views so that higher choices and behaviors are more available to us. Similar practices can be found all over the internet, such as the importance of taking "pause breaks" to go to the heart and evaluate options. Much of HeartMath and GCI’s intention is to prove out the effectiveness of listening to our intuitive feelings that come from the heart. It’s realizing that practicing love in the form of warm-hearted attitudes, such as care, patience, kindness, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and more, is what magnetizes our intuitive guidance.

Key Heart Practices Through These Times

  • Take short pause breaks, especially when we feel overloaded. Even just pausing to breathe through the heart area for a minute or two can help us recenter enough in the heart to make clearer decisions and choices.
  • We can choose one or two heart qualities to practice several days in a row, such as kindness and compassionate listening, and then add one or more heart qualities to practice the next several days. Especially practice compassion for other’s hardships.
  • Love in the form of patience supports our ability to manage our energies from a place of ease, especially when we hear people say things we don’t agree with or we’re in situations we don’t like. In our hearts, we know that patience is important, but it’s still easy to let impatience overtake us. It’s time to take back our power.
  • At times we can feel exhausted and insecure from the weight of personal, societal and global changes, and that’s understandable. This is a perfect time to practice self-compassion to replenish our resilience – especially when life presses us with information and choices faster than our capacity to sort out our moves.
  • When judgments or worries start, we can breathe in the core heart value of inner dignity. This often gives us the strength and heart power needed (more than willpower) to reduce the energy drain and prevent stress-related choices.

Practice with a collective if you can, as this adds compassion, empathetic care, and power to your intentions and commitments. It’s not about how many people. A collective can be two people, or several, or a large group. Start with a small group where you can feel safe to have conversations about what’s stressing you. The magic of collective empathy comes from gaining care and wisdom from each other. Research has shown that working together from the heart with a common goal helps us shift into a vibration that connects us more with the heart’s intuitive choices. Collective heart energy strengthens us as individuals to release judgments and presets that marginalize the effectiveness of our love. Reducing judgments also multiplies the power of our personal commitments.

We compassionately feel it can be hard to find time to do all these practices, so start with the ones you resonate with and know that it’s your commitment that makes them work. When our practices are genuine from the heart, we feel the results in stress relief and better decision-making. We especially have more initiative and power to pause and calm ourselves. As we prove out love’s effectiveness for ourselves, doing these practices becomes more automatic because love is who we really are inside.

Care Focus: Empowering Our Love

  1. Breathe Love through your heart area. On the in-breath, imagine breathing in divine love. On the out-breath, radiate love and gratitude through all your cells and out to others and to the planet.
  2. Now, envision yourself and more people throughout the world taking steps to be more compassionate, caring, kind, and cooperative with each other. See this increasing the connection with their heart’s intuitive guidance and direction. This is Love in action.
  3. Now, let’s radiate love into the planetary energetic field, seeing people and nations getting along more with each other and creating the best possible outcomes for the wholeness.
  4. Let’s close by radiating our collective love and compassion to all who are suffering from wars, famine, displacement, natural disasters, and other major stressors. See the radiation of our collective heart energy helping to lift the planetary energetic field and especially the hearts of those suffering hardships.
