HeartSmarts Adventurer
I am Damany Head, Chair and Executive Director of the Pontiac Regional Chamber of Commerce in Southeast Michigan. A local champion of health recommended the HeartSmarts Adventure online program for use with our 4 year old along with our two older children. Our 4 year old really took to the HeartSmarts Adventure program.
We began 6 weeks into the pandemic. Part of our routine was to start the day at 9:30 in the morning. His assignment was to work for 2-3 hours on this program. A main goal was to reinforce the same values and behaviors that we want for our older children—to help build his social and emotional intelligence. One of the things we saw was his increased ability to express himself.
The other 4 people in the home are now waking up singing the songs from HeartSmarts Adventure. That is helping cement what we want for our younger son. His experience growing up will be much different than mine. I appreciate him getting this at such a young age.
