In a world drowning in distractions, attention is the lifeline of learning. In a landmark study with 596 students ages 7 to 12 in Northern Spain, researchers used HeartMath’s emWave® Pro biofeedback to help children reclaim their focus. After five guided breathing sessions, coherence scores rose, boosting attention and self- control. Struggling students improved with the youngest showing the greatest gains. Across rural Montana, where 61% of schools are in remote locations and turnover affects nearly nine out of ten districts, educators face mounting burnout and isolation. In Spring 2025, rural teachers participated in a virtual pilot study seeking to restore balance and purpose. Participants reported striking improvements— overall stress dropped 37% and vitality rose 18%.
