The Spirit Horse Ranch, located upcountry near Maui Winery, offers free, trauma-informed, non-riding equine-assisted sessions integrating HeartMath technology and techniques. Since January 2023, it has provided over two thousand sessions to wildfire survivors, youth, first responders, and mental health practitioners, fostering emotional regulation, resilience, and healing for all ages. The ranch also partners with Molokai’s Ho’Aka Mana for culturally relevant Native Hawaiian programs.

At The PARC, a private Florida school founded by Colleen Paul Hus, nature is woven into learning across a lush 40-acre campus. Blending the Waldorf Curriculum with hands-on arts, the school recently installed a HeartMath tree monitor — a device that reads trees’ electrical signals but also explores how human energy might influence them. A global team of scientists, including a 16-year-old researcher, Sai Balaji, conducted the largest heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback study to date, analyzing 1.8 million sessions from the Inner Balance™ mobile app. The study found that positive emotions, like gratitude, were linked to higher HRV coherence, while negative emotions lowered it. Slow, deep breathing helped users naturally find their optimal rhythm, supporting emotional and physiological well-being.
