The heart plays a crucial role in our energy systems and resilience through its continuous dialogue with the brain. During balance, this communication helps regulate our nervous and hormonal systems, allowing for proper recovery and energy renewal.

  • Awareness: Honestly acknowledge your feelings—exhaustion, frustration, overwhelm, etc. Don’t minimize or deny what you’re experiencing; recognition is the first step toward transformation.
  • Breathe a positive/renewing feeling or attitude. Breathe slowly and a little deeper than normal. Imagine the air entering and leaving through your heart or chest area. With each breath draw in a renewing feeling or attitude. This simple practice begins to generate coherence and calm your system.
  • Objectivity: View your feelings as if they were someone else’s problem, creating helpful distance. This perspective shift allows you to access wisdom that stress and fatigue often obscure.
  • Rest in Neutral: From this objective state, rest in your mature heart, soaking disturbed feelings in compassion. Allow your heart’s natural intelligence to process difficult feelings.
  • Dissolve Significance: Allow the emotional weight of your challenges to dissolve gradually. Often, it’s our perception of situations rather than the situations themselves that drains our energy.
  • Seek Guidance: Ask your heart for insight. If no immediate answer comes, spend time in appreciation, which maintains coherence and keeps the door open for intuitive guidance.
