Quick Coherence Technique®

for Ages 12-18

The Quick Coherence Technique® is a tool you can use any time, any place when you wish to manage stress and be the best you can be in any situation.

There are lots of benefits from practicing this technique. With practice, you can become more confident, calmer and engaged in whatever you are doing.

Being in sync means being in tune with your body, mind and emotions. You not fighting yourself within. As a result, you are more engaged in your projects and relationships.

It has 3 simple steps that you can use with your eyes open or closed. Read them first and then practice with each individual step in the next few slides.

Step 1: Heart Focus


Focus your attention in the area of the heart or your chest area.

Step 2: Heart Breathing


Imagine your breath is flowing in and out of your heart or chest area, breathing a little slower than normal. Practice this step for 30-40 seconds.

Step 3: Heart Feeling


Make a sincere attempt to experience a regenerative feeling such as appreciation or care for someone or something in life. Try to re-experience the feeling you have for someone you love, a pet, a special place or accomplishment. Try to sustain this feeling.

You can use this technique and no one will even know you are doing it. The key is to practice it during the day so it becomes more familiar, especially in those situations which are challenging.
