HELPING children and students reach their full potential.

HeartMath programs and technologies help students learn and master emotional awareness and self-regulation skills. These critical skills build a solid foundation for greater mental and emotional health, positive social behavior and relationships and academic excellence, all of which are essential for success and well-being in today’s fast-paced, complex world.

Evidence-based and highly effective

Students who participate in HeartMath programs and use its technologies show significant improvements in impulse control and self-regulation, academic focus, decision-making and getting along better with teachers, peers and parents. Three of our key programs have been independently validated by the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs (NREPP).

Self-Regulation Technology

The emWave and Inner Balance Trainers enable students to experience in real time the positive effects of balancing their emotions and physiology. Students who can self-regulate are more secure and show more care for self and others.

“The emWave® is the perfect tool for helping to bridge the connection between emotions and learning. I have used it in my classrooms for 9 years. My students quickly learn to self-regulate their emotions and then apply that skill in the classroom and day-to-day life. They have more interest in learning, perform better on tests and get along better.” –Dianna Govan, Carmel High School chairwoman, special education department

Classroom Programs

All HeartMath classroom programs include evidence-based, age-appropriate techniques and methods that have been shown to help students build emotional resilience, which serves as a foundation for academic and social success.

“All fourth grades have completed the program, and our parents are singing its praises. Parents report that kids are ‘Freeze-Framing’ before dance or sporting performances, when fighting with a sibling and on and on! Our statewide writing scores came back, and once again we are #1 (in the state). Through this program, our kids really take control of their emotions and channel things in a positive direction.” –Amanda Travis Simon, fourth-grade math/language arts teacher, Pine View School, Sarasota, Fla.

Training for Teachers and Staff

Our professional development training addresses the often overlooked area of internal energy management. As teachers learn to increase their resilience capacity, most will experience greater energy in their personal and professional lives.

“This training was excellent! Highly engaging, well organized, professional and meaningful.” –Roxana Marachi, assistant professor, department of K-8 teacher education, San Jose State University, California.
