Another Great Year for You and HeartMath

All of us at the Institute of HeartMath want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you once again for supporting our important work for another year. It is because of your support that HeartMath has been able to help thousands more people in the past 12 months to recognize and reduce stress in their lives and improve their health and well-being.

We truly appreciate your support and never forget that your generous contributions, especially in these difficult times when so many are in need of HeartMath’s life-renewing programs and services, have been pivotal in creating an institution that is trusted, respected and relied upon throughout the world.

Your energetic support is a cherished gift as well. The collective energy of so many thousands around the world who wish us well, share stories of their HeartMath experiences and express their confidence in the work we do is heartwarming and inspirational. Every day, you energize HeartMath’s researchers, trainers, technologists and other staff to pursue IHM’s mission: teaching people about the joys and benefits of heart-based living and relying on the intelligence of their hearts in concert with their minds to conduct their lives at home, school, work and play.

  • 155,000 students and teachers were touched by HeartMath programs over the past year.
  • IHM provided assistance to homeless mothers seeking a fresh start.

  • Portable emWave® Personal Stress Relievers were placed in the hands of returning soldiers to help them reintegrate into family life and ease their transition back into society and work.

  • IHM participated in a number of collaborative studies with universities and medical clinics, including Arizona State, Wake Forest, La Sierra, Fresno, and San Jose State universities, and Prairie Heart Institute at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
  • The IHM Research Division to assist more than 20 doctorial students using HeartMath interventions in their dissertation research.
  • Provide the bandwidth/Internet capability to write and submit nine grants totaling approximately $6.5 million.
  • Complete the Early HeartSmarts® Program to help children ages 3-6 prepare for their school years.
  • Complete a total remake of the IHM Web site, www.heartmath.org.
  • Increase free services such as Webinars.
  • Add new stress and emotion management tools.

Again, all of us at the Institute of HeartMath are so thankful for you. We hope you are proud and a little impressed with all that you and IHM have achieved.

Oh, there’s one more thing: Approximately 240,000 people around the world visited the pages of www.heartmath.org in the last year. Just imagine how much more awareness there is about stress and how to manage it in the world today and all the new people who are practicing the principles of heart-based living.

We wish each of you a joyous holiday season and heartfelt New Year.
