The emWave®2 can be used as portable coherence-building device, or it can be connected to a computer so users can download and review session data or play the self-regulation, coherence-building games. The emWave is being used in a wide variety of settings to help older students and teachers gain the benefits of increased self-regulation and psychophysiological coherence.
When used as a hand-held, emWave2 uses a strip of LED lights to indicate heart-rhythm patterns, accumulated coherence scores and HRV ranges. Multicolored LED’s indicate pulse detection and coherence levels.

When emWave 2 is connected to a computer, users can download and review session data, play any of the self-regulation games, or practice with the Coherence Coach® CD, an entertaining software application that teaches HeartMath’s Quick Coherence® Technique for self-regulation. The emWave2 is available in silver blue or charcoal gray.
The emWave has proven to be a great tool in a variety of group settings for addressing such things as anger management and bullying and for building greater team coherence in sports. When people practice the emWave in conjunction with HeartMath tools, they learn to recognize and discriminate external versus internal control: Rather than blaming others for the situations in which they find themselves, they begin to understand that focusing internally gives them the opportunity to tailor meaningful and effective solutions for their personal circumstances. They are able to improve their relationships, performance and overall well-being by becoming aware of their responses to stress and stopping stress the moment it begins.
